What is Brand Roast?

Brand Roast, also known as Roast My Brand, is a free tool that gives your logo or brand design a score out of 100, three candid takes and one practical fix. You upload an image, and an AI assessment guided by Gerardo García-Jurado’s five-lens branding framework judges what is visible. It usually takes under a minute, and you do not need an account.

Is Brand Roast free, and do I need to sign up?

Yes, a Roast is free and needs no account or email. A conversation with Gerardo about a professional review is also free, with no obligation. If you ask for a Brand Snapshot, a more detailed report, you give your name and a verified email so it can be sent to you.

How does Brand Roast score a logo?

It assesses five lenses: clarity, fit, character, consistency and usability. Each lens is rated from what is visible in your images and the context you add, and those ratings determine the score out of 100. Image quality may limit what can be assessed, but it does not lower the brand’s score.

What does a score of 100 mean?

100 is deliberately hard to earn. It is given only when all five lenses could be assessed, each is supported by at least two clear observations and rated at its highest level, and nothing reduced the score. Otherwise the highest possible score is 96. It means the defined standards were met on what you showed, not that a design is perfect.

What can I upload?

A logo, package, ad, social post, sign or website screenshot. Use PNG, JPG or WebP (SVG also works for logos), up to 10 MB each. You can add a second logo and up to two applications, such as mockups or screenshots. Sharp, straight-on images work best.

Does Brand Roast keep my logo?

Our application does not keep your images: they are processed in memory and are not written to its database, disk or logs. Your result is held for up to one hour so you can change the critique level or contact Gerardo, then it is discarded. If you choose to contact Gerardo, your images and result are emailed to his mailbox, where they stay.

Is my logo used to train AI?

OpenAI’s documentation says data sent through its API is not used to train its models unless the account owner chooses to share it. We have not opted in to share visitor submissions with OpenAI. OpenAI may still keep API requests in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, so remove anything confidential before you upload.

Who made Brand Roast, and does Gerardo review my logo himself?

Brand Roast is made by eemageen LLC in Concord, California, using a framework developed by Gerardo García-Jurado, an Emmy and Effie-winning designer with more than 20 years of experience. The assessment is AI-powered: Gerardo does not personally review each logo. If you want his judgment, you can contact him for a professional review.

How is a Roast different from a professional brand review?

A Roast is a fast, free, automated opinion about visible design, limited to what is in your images. A professional review adds what a Roast cannot: your market, your audience, your goals and a conversation with a person. A Roast is not legal, trademark or business advice, and its audience reactions are simulations, not customer research.

What do Gentle, Spicy and Unhinged mean?

They set the tone of the three takes, from kind to brutal. The level changes the writing, not the score, and you can switch levels on your result without re-uploading.

Can I share my Roast?

Yes. Your browser creates the share card on your device, and nothing is posted unless you choose to share it. Gerardo does not publish your images, your identity or your result without asking you separately, even if you contact him.
